As we discussed on our other pages, one of the ways
that we support our recipients is through distribution
of donations to the housing residences that have
opened with our support.  We will discuss some of
those accomplishments here:
The Grand Experiment Charities, Inc.
We are proud to present the fourth house opened with
donations distributed by The Grand Experiment Charities, Inc.
The house opened December 7th, 2005 and provides 7 beds
for homeless men in recovery and is also run using the Oxford
Model.  The donations distributed to the house consisted of
furnishing the complete house, stocking the kitchen complete
with dishes, glassware, pots & pans, microwave, coffee maker,
2 refrigerators, other kitchen appliances and a complete set of
flatware.  Also distributed are a personal computer complete
with monitor, mouse, keyboard and printer.
We are
additionally excited to announce that this house has
converted to the first fully chartered 'Grand
Experiment House' and is now named  TGECI - Acorn
House.  The house residents voted to convert, applied
and were accepted for full charter by our Corporate
Housing Committee, and as of October 2007 is a fully
financially independent, self governed/self run house
currently designated as our 'TGECI ALUMNI' house for
individuals with 1 year or more of continuous clean &
sober living

donations distributed by The Grand Experiment Charities.
The house, which is named TGECI - Action House, opened
in November 2007, with a conditional charter, and
provides beds for 8 homeless men. It is also a safe house
run using the TGECI Housing Program Manual of
Operations.  The donations distributed to this house are,
8 beds, 8 dressers, living room couch, love seat, book
shelves, lounge chair, microwave, coffee maker,
draperies, lamps, chairs, all kitchen utensils, complete
dishes, glasses, cups, saucers, plates, flatware, and a
personal computer for the house books to keep the house
financial records.  The Action House is built around the
faith based foundation portion of our Housing Program
and as a result supports the efforts of some of its
residents with an organization they personally founded
called 'Men in Action'.  Men in Action is operated as a non
profit based spiritual recovery support group and is
currently functioning under the TGECI umbrella helping
persons in recovery find a personal relationship with their
God.   We at TGECI understand the importance of a
spiritual foundation for daily living and support these
men in their efforts
